Ivan was not only a gentle man, but rather a ‘gentle msn’ whose membership, and once Chairman of Consett Citizens Choir, will always be remembered with great affection.

Despite living in Ponteland both he and Jean travelled to Consett religiously every Friday night fir rehearsals, whiched showed their great commitment to the choir and the friendships formed over many years.

As a couple their hospitality was second to none both at their home in Ponteland and at the Derwent Manor Hotel in celebration of a special anniversary.
